Beam in numbers

Since launching in September 2017, Beam’s had a lot to celebrate! 🎉

All our campaigns have fully funded since going live, empowering 14 members to train up and pursue their chosen career path.

An incredible 1,000 supporters funded our first 10 campaigns faster than we ever expected — and just in time for Christmas! 🎁

Every member has been empowered to make a positive decision about their future. Through Beam, they have the opportunity to pursue their interests and build on their talents.

Since last week, we now have 5 new members, who are well on their way to reaching their fundraising goals.

Linda's story

This is Linda. 3 years ago, she was sleeping on the streets following the loss of her mother and a struggle with drugs. Today, she lives in a homeless hostel and is drug-free. And now, Linda has joined Beam to turn her life around by training to become an accountant. She came top in her class for Level 2 and 3 - CONGRATS LINDA! But now Linda needs YOUR HELP to fund her full qualification. With Beam, it’s easy to help homeless people for the long-term by crowdfunding their employment training. Meanwhile, Beam supports each of our “members” - all the way from being referred by a charity until they are settled in stable work. Beam also looks after your donation and purchases training direct from the right training provider. We never hand out cash to our members. Watch Linda’s story below.
